In this interview with Stella in his office at National Assembly Abuja Hon Alex expressed the need to deploy adequate\u00a0 security network during the Christmas festive\u00a0 to enable those travelling to celebrate with their love ones a safe trip.<\/div>\n

Who is Hon Alex ?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0 I am a grass root politician, loved by my people, based on the tremendous contributions, i\u00a0 have made in the life of my\u00a0 constituents,\u00a0 providing them with healthcare services , youth empowerment, skills acquisition and training also Scholarships etc.”<\/div>\n

I have held different positions, from been a ward\u00a0 Counsellor, Chief of Staff to formal Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke and now he is a two time member of the Federal House of Representatives. I was a former member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) before he contested and won under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), and has remain the only APC member in my State.<\/div>\n

It is interesting to learn\u00a0 that I am\u00a0 \u00a0not just\u00a0 a politician but\u00a0 a successful farmer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hon how do you want the Federal government to tackle the growing insecurity in the country more especially during the period of Christmas?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0The Federal government should to do something urgently on the issue of insecurity, as kidnapping is becoming business\u00a0 of the day for the youth. Some measures need to be taken to put our youth off the street, create enough\u00a0 jobs.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The youth should be engaged in skills Acquisition and government\u00a0 should also encourage farmers to go back to farm by ensuring their\u00a0 safety.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I will also advice the government to focus on this key areas mentioned.<\/div>\n
Federal government should also improve on electricity generation and supply and by so doing, the price of food will drastically come dawn, because as it is now, the masses are suffering due to inflation in the prices of food stuff.<\/div>\n

I strongly believe that by achieving these measures,the level of poverty in the country will reduce and it will be a credit for this administration.<\/div>\n

We gathered that you have been a big time farmer. Are you still engaging in farming business?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0Yes of course. Where I am coming from, we are farmers and most of the local rice\u00a0 produced and sold in the markets called Abakaliki rice are from my place. The Abakaliki people come to buy from us in large quantities and go to process them in their state. So, we are rice farmers in my area.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
