\nThe All Progressive Congress (APC), Thursday, appointed the Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele to drive the re-election campaign of Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi scheduled for June 18.
\n\u00a0
\nApart from the leader of the senate, the party named the\u00a0Chairman of Ekiti State APC, as vice chairman Mr. Sola Elesin;\u00a0Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Oyeniyi Adebayo as the Secretary and 54 other high-powered members of the campaign council.
\n\u00a0
\nThe council equally includes the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu; Chairman, Senate Committee on\u00a0Establishment and Public Servies,\u00a0Senator Cyril Fasuyi; Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye and former Deputy Governor of the state, Senator Biodun Olujimi, among others.
\nIn a statement by his Directorate of Media and Public Affairs on Thursday, Bamidele accepted to lead the 57-member campaign council, which according to him, would serve as the opportunity to showcase not only the governance records of Governor Oyebanji, but also that of the APC at the national level.

\nBamidele thanked the party leadership for his nomination to drive the campaign council, noting that it was a rare privilege as well as a huge challenge to act in this capacity.

\nWhile he accepted the challenge of leading the campaign council, Bamidele observed that he would collaborate with the Council, Ekiti State APC and National Secretariat to ensure the re-election of Governor Oyebanji seamlessly.

\nBamidele noted that Oyebanji\u2019s reelection \u201cwill be a referendum given our records of performance in the 40 months that he has been leading Ekiti State. Under his leadership, Ekiti State has enjoyed cohesion, peace and stability politically and socially.

\n\u201cGovernor Oyebanji has provided transformative leadership that accommodates the interests of all regardless of their political and religious affiliation.
