The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has approved the appointment Rev Fr (Dr) Patrick Alumunku as Chairman and members to the Board of Benue Television Corporation (BTC)<\/p>\n
In a statement by the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication,Chief Solomon Iorpev , members of the Board are as follows:<\/p>\n
1. Rev. Dr. Patrick Alumunku, OON-Chairman (Ushongo LGA)
\n – A seasoned media expert with a Doctorate Degree in Mass Communications, 12 years of experience with Vatican Radio, 21 years as Director of Communications with the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja and Currently the Executive Director, Catholic Television of Nigeria<\/p>\n
2. Dr. Thaddeus Hanmakyugh -Secretary (Kwande LGA)
\n – Holds a Doctorate in Film Production\/Media Arts from the University of Abuja, served and retired from National Film Institute, Jos<\/p>\n
3. Mrs. Jennifer Ejembi – Member
\n (Otukpo LGA)
\n – Former Executive Director, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ibadan<\/p>\n
4. Dr. Barnabas Gbam – Member
\n (Logo LGA)
\n – Former Rector of the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA)College, Jos.<\/p>\n
5. Engr. Sunday Iji – Member
\n (Oju LGA)
\n – Former Director of Engineering Services, Radio Benue, Makurdi.<\/p>\n
According the statement, Governor Alia expects the Board to work towards enhancing the quality of broadcasting services in Benue State and promoting the state’s cultural heritage. He wishes them well and charges them to put their wealths of experience to bear on their new assignments. <\/p>\n
