Shiroro and Munyan Local Government Area of Niger State,has taken in a fearful dimension as residents now fleeing their homes for fear of an attacks from the deadly activities of these criminal minded elements <\/p>\n<p>Already, residents  of the two communities have now deserted their homes  as a result of unwholesome killing, abductions and rustling of animals and destroying of farm products across the communities by these gunmen.<\/p>\n<p> A victim of the recent  armed Banditry attack in Kuchipa village, Mrs. Oguntade Abiodun Mary described her experience in the hands of the armed men horrific.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mrs Abiodun Oguntade, she is yet to recover from the terrified experienced she suffered in the hands of the gun men stating that the armed bandits carted away her farm products killing several of her workers and rustled her animals<\/p>\n<p>She disclosed that she has spent over three decades residing in Kuchipa village with large hectares of farmland with large numbers graduates and school leavers working on the farmland \u201c but as a result of the incessant inversion on my farmlands and the killing of my workers by these armed men I&#8217;m now leaving in perpetual fear of life\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  Mrs. Oguntade,  stated that she spent more than two decades building a successful farming operation in the community, cultivating crops such as cassava and maize while employing several villagers.<\/p>\n<p>Her farm,according to her provided income for youths, women, and other residents who depended on the agricultural activities for their livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the security situation in the region has deteriorated dramatically in recent years.<br \/>\nCommunities across Shiroro and Munyan Local Government Areas have faced persistent attacks from armed groups believed to be involved in kidnapping, cattle rustling, and other violent crimes\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of the locals who spoke to Journalists during a visit to the affected community revealed that  the  activities of the armed bandits  was so prominent between 2023,and 2025, which forced many villages to desert the communities as a result of the continued activities of the dare devil gun men.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Oguntade stated that during one of the attacks, armed men stormed her farmland and surrounding areas while she was traveling outside the country.<\/p>\n<p>The attackers reportedly destroyed homes in the community, including her residence, and caused widespread damage to farmland.<\/p>\n<p>According to her account, several workers on the farm were abducted, and six of them were killed during the violent incident.<br \/>\nThe attack left the community devastated and forced many residents to flee the village for safety.<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, Mrs. Oguntade reported the attack through her legal representative to the Niger State Commissioner of Police, seeking intervention from authorities.<br \/>\nHowever, she claims the report may have placed her life at risk.<br \/>\nAccording to her, sources in the community warned that the bandits had discovered she reported them and were now searching for her with the intention of killing her.<br \/>\n\u201cThey killed my workers and destroyed everything I built,\u201d she said. \u201cNow they are looking for me because I reported what they did.\u201d<br \/>\nThe farmer also alleged that armed groups have continued to occupy parts of the community, taking over farmland and livestock belonging to residents who fled.<br \/>\nLocal residents have repeatedly called on authorities to increase security presence in the affected areas.<br \/>\nMrs. Oguntade has appealed to Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently deploy security forces to protect the communities and prevent further attacks.<br \/>\nFor now, she says returning to her village is impossible.<br \/>\n\u201cWith the way
