\/>\n\u200eThe Village Head of Ikot Ntuen Offot in Uyo LGA, Eteidung Nsikak Ime Esang has appealed to the Government of Akwa Ibom State to extend her hand of community development projects to Ikot Ntuen Offot as the community has been thrown into darkness for over two years now.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe village head made appeal while speaking on the state of things with journalists at his palace at the weekend, while stating that situations in the community has caused landlords and tenants to abandoned their houses and relocated to other places.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eCommending the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for all his developmental strides, human capital development and infrastructural renaissance across communities in the State, the Village Head expressed the sad situations Ikot Ntuen Offot is going through despite the close proximity of the community to government house, Uyo.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eEteidung Nsikak Esang lamented that the only School  in the community has been attacked by colly erosion and has sacked the students and teachers from attending classes.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eHe said the colly erosion menace was caused by an abandoned road construction by AMITEC Construction and Development Company which terminate at the Ikot Ntuen Offot whereas it was to be channeled to a nearby River.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200e He also called the State and local government to come and assist the community with construction of  roads, drainage to chanel water out the affected areas which has become impassable.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eWhile calling on the Nigeria Delta Development Commission, NDDC to also include Ikot Ntuen Offot in her pet project of lighting up the Niger Delta, he noted that Ikot Ntuen Offot is the only community not included in the scheme compared to nearby communities.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eMeanwhile Eteidung Nsikak has appealed to the Akwa Ibom State ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Uyo Local Government Area to come to the aid of Ikot Ntuen Offot in the area of Transformer provision, Construction of Internal Roads, Provision of Solar Street lighting and protection of the community school from decay as it is affected by colly erosion which emanated from abandoned road and drainage projects by AMITEC Construction and Development Company since the last administration.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe village head intimated the press that he is doing everything possible to ensure safety of lives and properties of the people residing in his community, prayed that God will continue to guide the state State governor, Pastor Umo Eno and his government to succeed beyond 2027.<br \/>\n\u200e<br
