{"id":13492,"date":"2026-05-11T14:50:59","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T14:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=13492"},"modified":"2026-05-11T14:53:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T14:53:22","slug":"group-endorses-tinubu-ahead-2027-general-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2026\/05\/11\/group-endorses-tinubu-ahead-2027-general-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"Group Endorses Tinubu Ahead 2027 General Elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By David Owei,Bayelsa <\/p>\n<p>A group under the ageis of Yoruba Council Worldwide, YCW has unanimously thrown Its weight behind the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu, citing numerous development projects as contained in the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president as the reasons behind its assertion. <\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken by stakeholders of YCW from across not only the country but also around the world during the 27th anniversary celebration of the group and the coronation of its President General, Prince Oladotun Hassan as the Sooko Agoriesin ( The Source) at Ile-Ife, Osun state. <\/p>\n<p>The chairman of South\/ South and South\/East Yoruba Traditional Rulers Council, Oba Suleiman Oluwaloni Oguntunji who is a prominent member of YCW and was present at the event noted that the 27th anniversary of the group is quite expedient as it afforded all Yorubas from around the world the opportunity to come together to develop a common template for thier advancement, stressing that it also a platform to advocate for the re-election of President Tinubu as the 2027 election approaches. Oluwaloni Oguntunji admonished all Yorubas to always embrace the rich cultural heritage of the ethnic nationality, calling on them to join hands with the president of YCW to take the group to the next level of development.<\/p>\n<p> Earlier, YWC National President, Prince Oladotun Hassan noted that the projection of the noble cause of Yoruba extraction as directed by the Ooni of Ife HIM, Adeyeye Ogunwusi is the major objective behind the 27th anniversary of the group, adding that it also doubles as Yoruba National day celebration worldwide to primarily showcase the rich cultural heritage of Yorubas and to declare thier total support for President Tinubu&#8217;s re-election in the 2027 general elections. <\/p>\n<p>He further reiterated that YCW is also an umbrella body of Yoruba Traditional Rulers Council in all the six geo-political zones in the country who were all present at the anniversary and coronation celebration. Oladotun Hassan equally said although the current socio-economic challenges facing the country and numerous but also opined that they are summountable, stressing that the 2027 elections should be seen as a rallying point for Nigerians to reflect on the past and the future of the country. He noted that for the nation to progress to the next level of development, everyone must shun divisive tendencies and ethnicity and come together to drum support for the continuation of the Renew Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
