President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, has called on leaders and citizens alike to translate the spiritual essence of the season of Eid-el-Kabir into a national rebirth anchored on personal sacrifice, unity, and empathy.<\/p>\n
In a personally signed message released to the media on Wednesday, the former Senate President extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Yobe North, across Nigeria, and around the world. <\/p>\n
Senator Lawan described the sacred festival as a timeless, divine tutorial on the supremacy of faith and the profundity of obedience.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the sublime act of Prophet Ibrahim\u2019s (AS) willingness to offer his dearest possession, we find the eternal metaphor for our national journey. It teaches us that the path to a greater collective destiny is paved with the stones of personal sacrifice, faith, and submission to the will of the Almighty,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n
He challenged those in positions of authority and influence to place the collective interest of the nation first by sacrificing the comfort of personal gain for the enduring edifice of national progress, unity, and peace.<\/p>\n
The lawmaker, who represents Yobe North, further called on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of compassion that defined the life of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).<\/p>\n
Senator Lawan encouraged citizens to face challenges with the patience of Hajar and the resoluteness of Ibrahim, while remaining steadfast in prayers for President Bola Tinubu and the nation\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n
