Ebizi Ndioumu Brown, representing Sagbama constituency 3 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has reiterated her commitment to mentor women in politics, not only in her constituency but also across the state.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ndioumu Brown stated this in an interview with newsmen shortly after receiving an award of excellence as the most outstanding female lawmaker of the Year by the Bayelsa Merit and Enterprise Award (BAMA).<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She thanked BAMA for the recognition as according to her it is encouragement to render more selfless service to humanity.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As a female lawmaker, Brown acknowledged the privilege of her position and expressed her desire to use it as a platform to mentor and inspire more women to take on leadership roles in politics.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to her,\u00a0 the vision goes beyond her constituency, as she hopes to create a lasting legacy of women empowerment in Bayelsa State as she aimed to pave the way for future generations of women leaders who will excel in politics and make a lasting impact.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She described Sagbama Constituency III as an area with intellectuals,\u00a0 hard working people and great farmers. The female Lawmaker commended Governor Douye Diri for connecting the riverine communities in the area with roads adding that the miracle governor has restated his commitment to complete the long abandoned NDDC road in the area.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She noted that apart from oil and gas, the people should be encouraged to farm and produce more products which will enable them to sell, and generate revenue.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Presenting the award\u00a0 to Hon.Ebizi Ndiomu Brown, Chairman of BAMA, Comrade Andrew Okpongu hinted that the award was conferred on the female Lawmaker in recognition of her resourceful contributions at plenary on the floor of the house and her\u00a0 performance index in all the positions she has held.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said BAMA considered it imperative to recognize and\u00a0 take the lead to celebrate our own to correct the impression of allowing outsiders to tell the Bayelsa story.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Earlier in his remarks, the Organising Secretary, Elliot Zamide informed\u00a0 that BAMA is a\u00a0 platform of media practitioners who identify people that have made their marks in various fields of human endeavours for conferment of awards as a means to encourage them to offer greater service.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He thanked Hon.
