commitment to strengthening national security through intelligence-led policing, technology-driven investigations and enhanced collaboration among stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe IGP made the commitment during an operational tour of the South-East geopolitical zone on Tuesday, as the Anambra State Police Command received the police chief represented by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of the South-East, DIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe tour, which is ongoing across the country&#8217;s geopolitical zones, is aimed at strengthening security architecture, enhancing operational efficiency and fostering greater synergy among security agencies and critical stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eSpeaking during the engagement with officers and men of the Anambra State Command, the DIG stressed the need for practical intelligence-driven interventions tailored to the peculiar security challenges confronting Anambra State and the wider South-East region.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eAccording to the police hierarchy, the initiative underscores the commitment of the IGP to proactive policing and improved national security.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe DIG further disclosed plans by the Nigeria Police Force to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into policing operations, particularly investigations and capacity building.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eHe said officers would undergo specialized training on AI applications in policing as part of efforts to prepare them for the future of law enforcement.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe police chief also charged officers to uphold professionalism and human rights in the discharge of their duties.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eHe emphasized the need for &#8220;a robust, people-centric policing philosophy anchored on professionalism, accountability, and unwavering respect for human rights.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eWelcoming the DIG on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the Command&#8217;s commitment to the vision of the IGP.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eAccording to him, the Command remains dedicated to deepening community-oriented policing and strengthening security across the state.<br \/>\n\u200e<br \/>\n\u200eThe operational tour also provided an avenue for strategic discussions with stakeholders on intelligence sharing, crime prevention strategies and coordinated
