They speak but they are not thinking, they speak but they are not communicating,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He faulted claims describing the Obasanjo years as \u201cwasted,\u201d insisting that most of what Nigerians enjoy today came from that era.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDebt forgiveness came from that regime. The first EFCC that they are using today as a tool came from Obasanjo\/Atiku. The GSM revolution is from that regime. Due Process and ICPC are also from that regime,\u201d Ojo stated.<\/p>\n<p>He credited Atiku with stabilising democracy during Obasanjo\u2019s first term, noting that the former vice president chaired the National Economic Team and brought in technocrats like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nuhu Ribadu, Oby Ezekwesili, and others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho is the Okonjo-Iweala in this administration? Who is the Ezekwesili? Who can serve as EFCC chairman like Ribadu or El-Rufai? During that time you could remember the names of all ministers because they were performing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Ojo also dismissed the Presidency\u2019s claim that Obasanjo\/Atiku was responsible for pension debts, saying the Pension Act in use today was enacted by that administration.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on 2027, the former APC chieftain expressed confidence that Atiku has the capacity to upstage President Tinubu. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday in Nigeria, Atiku is the most popular, most relevant. He has geopolitical spread, relationships across zones, and the political sagacity to defeat President Tinubu,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He lamented the current economic hardship, rising fuel prices, insecurity and student loans, describing the Tinubu government as \u201cRenewed Hopelessness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe battle in 2027 is between the people, the APC and Renewed Hopelessness. 90 percent of Nigerians are living below the poverty line.
