{"id":1624,"date":"2025-01-31T16:28:49","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T16:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=1624"},"modified":"2025-01-31T16:28:49","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T16:28:49","slug":"address-hardship-hunger-inflicted-on-nigerians-pdp-govs-forum-charges-tinubu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/01\/31\/address-hardship-hunger-inflicted-on-nigerians-pdp-govs-forum-charges-tinubu\/","title":{"rendered":"Address hardship\/hunger inflicted on Nigerians-PDP Govs Forum charges Tinubu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By Our Reporter<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Saddened by the increasing hardship\/hunger inflicted on Nigerians by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) led government, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor&#8217;s Forum on Friday\u00a0 called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to revisit his macro-economic policies with the aim of addressing the lingering hardship inflicted on Nigerians, saying that the states can not achieved any meaningful achievements until the harsh policies are addressed.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to the Communique issued at the end of PDP Governor&#8217;s forum maiden meeting held at the Government house, Asaba, Delta State\u00a0 the macro-economic policies of the Federal Government have inflicted hardship and pain on the masses of this nation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Chairman of the Forum,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State who read the Communique\u00a0 the forum used the occasion to review the performance of member states in particular, and the state of the nation in general, as well as developments in the party, as at the end of 2024.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. Bala Mohammed said the forum noted monumental socio-economic, security, infrastructure and other challenges that confronted the country during the period.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The Meeting commended Governors of member states for pursuing policies and programmes that not only ameliorated the plight of the people but were aimed at creating the foundation for sustainable development in their various states.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The Forum noted with delight the ongoing efforts at resolving the crisis in the National Working Committee, NWC, on the position of the National Secretary, and has reaffirmed its support for the Court of Appeal judgment; consequently, the Forum advised the NWC to set up the machinery for the effective implementation of the court judgment.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;The Forum having examined all the notices required by law to be given to validly convoke NEC advised NWC to reschedule NEC meeting to the thirteenth (13Th) of March 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Forum commended the country\u2019s valiant and patriotic Armed Forces and Security Agencies for maintaining the frontline in securing the country and the gains of the gallant personnel against bandits in parts of the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Forum viewed with deep concern, the resurgence of brazen non-state actors. It therefore calls for the strengthening of the nation\u2019s security architecture.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Governors Forum commended Governor,\u00a0 Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Government and the Good People of the State for their hospitality and friendly disposition that have yielded the successful, well-structured and impactful meeting.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Governors enjoined Nigerians not to despair in the face of the prevailing hardships with the firm assurance that the PDP will remain committed to returning great nation to the glorious days of pre-2015 era of manageable costs of living, security of lives and property and greater unity and prosperity for all citizens.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Meanwhile,Governors present at the meeting are Sen. Bala A. Mohammed<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Governor of Bauchi State\/ Chairman PDP-GF, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara\u00a0 (Rivers State) &#8211; Vice Chairman, Mr Sheriff Oborevwori\u00a0 (Delta State) &#8211; Host, Dr. Agbu Kefas\u00a0 (Taraba State), Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri (Adamawa State).<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Others include Dr. Dauda Lawal\u00a0 (Zamfara State), Mr. Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke Osun State),\u00a0 Mr. Douye Diri\u00a0 (Bayelsa State), Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D (Akwa Ibom State), Dr.\u00a0 Peter Ndubuisi Mbah\u00a0 \u00a0(Enugu State), Barr.
