\n\u200eNudge Bridge Initiative an NGO that is out to bridge the gap between those with ideas and those who can finance the ideas to be realistic is seriously working to create opportunities that will attract investors to invest in Akwa Ibom State.

\n\u200eThe President and Founder of the organization, Mr George Abiam disclosed this to our correspondent while having interaction with him at the organization office in Uyo recently over the proposed Ibom Conference.
\n\u200e
\n\u200eSpeaking, Mr Abiam said that Nude Bridge Initiative being a non governmental organization is into community development services, human capital development and empowerment programmes and is main purpose is to assist agencies of government to attract investors especially to Akwa Ibom State.

\n\u200e”We are into community development,
\n\u200eWe are also into capacity building, we give scholarships as well to people who are unable to continue their education in the areas of buying books,\u00a0EC forms, and paying school fees. We are also into organizing of conference through IBOM CONFERENCE where we bring government officials, students, professional bodies and expert to deliberate on issues that would bring development in Akwa Ibom.”

\n\u200eAccording to him, the NGO achieved these through inhouse financing mechanism where board of trustees and directors sourced for funds to financed their projects and program, while donations from outside source are welcomed to assist them achieve their dreams.

\n\u200eThe Ibom conference which is coming up on the 28th of August 2026 is going to hold at Aiku Luxury Hotels and Resort at Ring Road 3 by Oron Road, Uyo Akwa Ibom State and the team for the conference is Driving Industrialization, Innovation and Sustainable development, he added with a view that the team was chosen to change the narrative that the state Akwa Ibom is not only a Civil Service State and place where only church premises are located.

\n\u200e “This team is about industrialization and if you look at Akwa Ibom, the state is a very viable place for industrialization but we noticed that industries, factories are not in Akwa Ibom State but all that we have here are churches and government offices. So this conference now come in to bridge the gap between the state and investors, we will market the state to investors by telling\u00a0 the people out there that Akwa Ibom State is viable place for investment, industries, factories and companies can thrive in Akwa Ibom. With this, Akwa Ibom youth can be more gainfully employed, because youth cannot only depend on government.” says George Abiam.

\n\u200eWhile highlighting few of Speakers to the Ibom Conference to include the Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Prof Christopher Nyong Ekong, Mr. Ikakke Bassey among other outstanding Akwa Ibomites, the president of Nude Bridge Initiative noted that their organization has genuine intention to contribute to the development of Akwa Ibom by assisting the government to attract investors and investment to the state and thereby create employment opportunities.

\n\u200e”The message here is that Nudge Bridge Initiative has a very good intentions for Akwa Ibom State, to assist bring about development, and government should invest in us because North bride tallies with Arise agenda and we have come to assist agencies of the government in the state to attract investment and investors and sells the state to investors, and Akwa Ibom people should buy into the initiative, churches, business men, political class and investors will play critical role and no one should sit on the fence”, he landed with a note that the conference is going to be an annual event.
\n\u200eThe conference will provide Business mentorship and guidance, networking with investors and opportunity to pitch your business for business support and the requirements is that intending businesses must be an existing one, can generate income, have potential for growth and be a product or service in demand.
