As Osun governorship election draws close,Afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has charged youths supporting the re-election bid of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, not to be intimidated by political rascality.<\/p>\n
Davido, who is the Chairman of the Adeleke\u2019s Youth Mobilisation Campaign Team, gave the charge on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Imole Youth Mobilisation Campaign Team for the Osogbo Federal Constituency, held at Imole House, Osogbo.<\/p>\n
The music star, who was represented at the event by the Vice Chairman of the campaign team, Kayode Olododo, urged the youth mobilisers to remain focused, courageous and committed to their political responsibilities ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.<\/p>\n
He said the inauguration marked the first time a dedicated youth committee would be incorporated into the campaign structure, describing the development as an indication of the importance attached to young people by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the first time we will have a youth committee in the campaign committee. Our duty has been made easy by the Governor because he has invested so much in the youth.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you check those who are in government, you will see that the youth are fully involved,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Davido urged the newly inaugurated mobilisers to take the campaign to residents across their communities, particularly undecided voters and those who do not belong to any political party.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour duty is to meet with the residents. There are a lot of people who don\u2019t have a party and don\u2019t even know who to vote for.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe APC does not have anything to campaign with, except failure that Adeleke is correcting, but for us, the Governor\u2019s achievements are enough to campaign with,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Director of Operations, Dr. Musthofa Adebayo, in his welcome address said \u201cWe are the engine room of this campaign. We are the force that will carry the IMOLE message to every doorstep and ensure no vote is left behind.<\/p>\n
