\n\u200eCitizens of Akwa Ibom and beneficiaries of the welfare programs of the government have been charged to brace up to reciprocate the kindness and benevolence of the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno through the ballots when the time comes.
\n\u200eHonourable Pastor Monday Iwat gave the charge while speaking with journalists on Tuesday in Uyo about the Arise Food package and other welfare programs that the governor is giving to citizens across the State.

\n\u200eMonday Iwat described the gesture as a welcomed development, humanitarian and kind-hearted especially coming at a time that the citizens are going through hard times as the economy is bitting hard on the people.

\n\u200eThe political enthusiast and building architecture expert, Monday Iwat noted that the gesture is an indication that Gov Umo Eno is not only having the interest of developing the State at heart but is also ensuring that the welfare of the citizens are taking care of.
\n\u200e” gentlemen, the whole essence of government is to cater for the security and welfare of the citizens according to the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, talking about the social security provisions of the government under the constitution.
\n\u200e ” may I use this medium to commend His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom State for taking the welfare of the people of Akwa Ibom State paramount in time like this, he has really shown that he didn’t just come to governed but to governed with human sympathy and empathy.

\n\u200e”permit me to also use the opportunity to called on our people, the Akwa Ibomites to reciprocate this kindness with show of love and support to his government by making sure they get their permanent voters card and be ready to vote him for a second term in office come 2027, there can be no better ways than this to partner each other in the running of Akwa Ibom affairs.
\n\u200e”it is not over statement to say that the state government is doing well in this direction and should be encouraged but it is a known fact that to whom much is given, much is expected too, lets us do our best to support the governor to do more for us,” says Pastor Monday Iwat.

\n\u200eSpeaking further, the Uyo born politician and clergy, Monday Iwat commended the leadership of Uyo political class, ranging from the political leader of Uyo, Prince Enobong Uwah to the chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Dr Uwemedimo Udo PhD to the Vice Chairman, Rt Hon Christiana Bassey to other political bigwigs to the downlinners like unit coordinators for ensuring that the welfare package of the governor get down to the least of the people in Uyo who benefited from the gesture.
\n\u200eWhile describing the exercise as rancor free, Iwat expressed the confidence that with such output the people will not hesitate do same when the election time comes.
