Tension as suspected hoodlums attacked governor Ademola Adeleke\u2019s convoy

Panic sparked off in Osogbo as suspected hoodlums reportedly attacked the convoy of Osun State Governor, Adeleke, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
An exchange of gunfire reportedly ensued between the suspected attackers and security personnel attached to Governor Ademola Adeleke following the attack on his convoy, shortly after he left the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji.<\/p>\n
Governor Adeleke who visited the monarch after he received Certificate of Return at the Osun State headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osogbo on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
When contacted, the Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed the attack.<\/p>\n
Alimi said the governor\u2019s security personnel successfully repelled the assailants and that no casualty was recorded.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are hoodlums, and the governor\u2019s security repelled them. They attacked the governor\u2019s convoy at Ataoja\u2019s palace. No casualty,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
