Yoruba Nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, is expanding his security network to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

Igboho, founder of Iru Ekun Security Network, announced on Thursday plans to open a FCT office to strengthen collaboration with the Police, Army, Department of State Service, DSS and other agencies against insecurity in the South-West.

He said joint operations with conventional agencies remain critical to curbing kidnapping, banditry and other crimes.

Igboho thanked President Bola Tinubu and South-West governors for backing Iru Ekun.

“Iru Ekun Security Network would not take for granted the immense support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s-led Federal Government and South-West governors in tackling insecurity in Yorubaland,” he said.

He disclosed that KSI Construction Company Limited has donated a plot of land valued at N50 million for the Abuja office.

He also said the firm will donate 10 brand new motorcycles for operations during the unveiling.

“Apart from backing at governmental level, I want to commend KSI Construction for gifting Iru Ekun a plot of land in FCT,” he added.

According to him, corporate support for community security will help combat insecurity beyond the South-West.

The Group Managing Director of KSI Construction, Dr Koleola Emmanuel Oladeni, said the gesture was informed by Iru Ekun’s impact in curbing crime.

He said collaboration between Iru Ekun, police, DSS and army has drastically reduced kidnapping and attacks on highways and agrarian settlements in Yorubaland.
