{"id":2138,"date":"2025-02-19T08:11:14","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T08:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=2138"},"modified":"2025-02-19T08:11:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T08:11:14","slug":"ndlea-flags-off-war-against-drug-abuse-wada-in-bayelsa-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/02\/19\/ndlea-flags-off-war-against-drug-abuse-wada-in-bayelsa-state\/","title":{"rendered":"NDLEA Flags Off War Against Drug Abuse ( WADA) in Bayelsa state"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By David Owei Bayelsa<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As parts of efforts aimed at fighting war against illicit drugs in society, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has held it&#8217;s sensitization program on 18th February, 2025 as the State Commander of NDLEA Bayelsa State Commander, Kanu Sunny Chukwuemeka, has flagged off A 5- Day WADA sensitization campaign.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The theme for this year&#8217;s campaign is: *Safer Communities Without Illicit Drugs* held at Amass Coma community, SILGA, in Bayelsa State.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a statement signed by Obah Daniel Howells,SN, Public Relations Officer of NDLEA, Bayelsa state command , said Day 1 activities featured Anti Drug Abuse lectures at Government Secondary Amassoma and Community Secondary School, Amassoma.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Resource persons were,\u00a0 Francis Chia,\u00a0 and Godwin Erepa and the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Program was well attended by both Head and members of Amassoma Vigilante Group and counterparts from the Boy Scout in Amassoma.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The statement added that the\u00a0 programme received the full support of *Engr.
