National Board for Technology Incubation, NBTI, has entered into partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC with a view to combating corruption through innovation and technology in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Specifically, both institutions are set to harness disruptive technologies to enhance transparency, accountability, and economic integrity in the country.<\/p>\n

The Director General\/CEO of the NBTI, Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, who disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, noted that corruption remains one of Nigeria\u2019s greatest obstacles to economic progress.<\/p>\n

Raji, however, praised the EFCC chairman’s visionary leadership, unwavering courage, and commitment to stamping out corruption in the country.<\/p>\n

He said: “Under Mr. Olukoyede\u2019s tenure, the EFCC has recorded unprecedented successes, including the recovery of over N200 billion and the prosecution of approximately 3,000 cases in a single year\u2014milestones that have bolstered global confidence in Nigeria\u2019s anti-corruption fight.<\/p>\n

“As the nation\u2019s foremost technology incubation agency, NBTI is not only fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, but is also committed to ensuring transparency in SME funding, preventing financial mismanagement, and using digital tools to detect and deter corruption in business transactions.<\/p>\n

“This strategic partnership will focus on: deploying technology-driven anti-corruption tools for real-time financial monitoring and fraud prevention; strengthening accountability in SME and startup funding to ensure funds reach legitimate businesses; developing AI and data analytics solutions to track illicit financial activities; capacity-building programs to promote ethical business practices and financial transparency; and providing entrepreneurial training for rehabilitated offenders, equipping them with skills to reintegrate into society productively.”<\/p>\n

Raji described the collaboration as a game-changer, a bold declaration that Nigeria is ready to rebuild trust, attract investment, and create a thriving, corruption-free economy.<\/p>\n

The NBTI boss further highlighted recent achievements of the agency, including the global recognition of an NBTI incubatee who won the $1 million Zayed Sustainability Prize, as well as a landmark MoU with the Kwara State Government to establish a world-class technology incubation hub.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that technology and integrity must go hand-in-hand to drive sustainable national development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith EFCC\u2019s enforcement strength and NBTI\u2019s innovation-driven economic agenda, we are laying the foundation for a Nigeria where transparency, accountability, and enterprise thrive,” Raji submitted.<\/p>\n
