{"id":2219,"date":"2025-02-21T13:04:10","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T13:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=2219"},"modified":"2025-02-21T13:04:10","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T13:04:10","slug":"nass-protest-ex-agitators-of-third-phase-presidential-amnesty-program-dissociate-condemned-protest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/02\/21\/nass-protest-ex-agitators-of-third-phase-presidential-amnesty-program-dissociate-condemned-protest\/","title":{"rendered":"NASS Protest: Ex-Agitators of Third Phase Presidential Amnesty Program Dissociate ,Condemned Protest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The leadership and beneficiaries of the third phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program ,have not only dissociated it&#8217;s members from the purported protest by some disgruntle elements,but condemned in it&#8217;s entirety the protest by self styled Youths who claimed to ex &#8211; Agitators.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement signed by the National chairman of the third phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program,Gen Elaye Slaboh said they have debunked the news that it&#8217;s beneficiaries were the persons that embarked on the protest at National Assembly Complex at Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>According to him none of the delegates of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program were involved in that protest as the videos and photographs of the protesters didn&#8217;t revealed the faces of those who took part in that ill fated protest,adding that the platform they used to organize the protest is not recognized by any group in the region, but we&#8217;re hired to their master,s biddings .<\/p>\n<p>He therefore described them as faceless and sponsored disgruntled elements that were paid to drag the name of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program into disrepute nothing that they recently held a well publicized meeting where they vowed never to embark on any protest or demonstration , but will toe the line of dialogue or negotiation for peaceful resolution of conflicts and there called on the National Assembly and it&#8217;s leadership to disregard those who took part in the said protest ,which in itself didn&#8217;t involve delegates of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program,as they were sponsored and if they have any grouse they should channel such to their region and not Niger Delta Region that have been enjoying enduring sustainable peace and they should desist from disturbing the National Assembly that is doing their jobs as parliamentarians.<\/p>\n<p>He further averred that the delegates of the Third Phase of the presidential Amnesty Program under his leadership has cordial relationship with the Administrator of Presidential Amnesty Program,Dr Denis Otuaro whom they recently passed vote of confidence on due qualitative leadership style.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged security agencies and relevant authorities to take decisive actions against disturbing the peace of the region under false pretences<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; The protest at the National Assembly was an attempt to pressure government through illegitimate means and urged the authorities to investigate and hold accountable those behind this misrepresentation&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The leadership and beneficiaries of the third phase of the Presidential Amnesty Program ,have not only dissociated it&#8217;s members from the purported protest by some disgruntle elements,but condemned in it&#8217;s entirety the protest by self styled Youths who claimed to ex &#8211; Agitators.
