The Minna Chief Magistrate court Number One has discharged an acquited twenty Six suspects standing trial on the case of Criminal conspiracy and belongings to gang of thieves.<\/p>\n
The suspects were some times in the Month of October,2024 arraigned by the men of the Niger State Police Command for an allegation of Criminal conspiracy and belongings to gang of thieves.<\/p>\n
According to the police Prosecutor Inspector Bello Mohammed Beji the two count charge were punishable under section 97 and 306 of the penal code.<\/p>\n
Objecting to the oral application of the police Prosecutor, Inspector Bello Mohammed Beji, the defense counsel to the defendants, Barrister Abubakar Sadiq Ma’aji told the court that the defendants have been standing trial since October 2024,<\/p>\n
” With all indication,the Prosecutor is not ready to go on with the case. This case has suffered so many adjougnment in the last four months.<\/p>\n
” My Lord, I request you to discharge the defendants for lack of diligent Prosecutor in accordance with Provision of section 191 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act Law (ACJA),Niger State 2021 that is our prayer he told the court.<\/p>\n
While rulling on the oral application of the defense counsel, the Presiding Chief Magistrate Hajiya Ummul Katume Mohammed held that the oral application of the defense counsel has been granted and the twenty six defendants ” are hereby discharge an acquited for lack of diligent Prosecutor”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
