Ibrahim Adamu Haruna who disclosed that the Community has been existing without power supply for the last seven months yet the Abuja Electricity Company AEDC has been subjecting them to multiple Billings.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking with Journalists in Minna Thursday, Engr. Adamu Ibrahim stated that as a result of the plight of the community that has been subjected to total blackout for over seven months, governor Umar Mohammed Bago donated a big transformer to the community.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to him since the donation of the transformer, the community were trying to contribute for the purchase of some accessories that will power the transformer,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;but the AEDC keep on over billings\u00a0 us without any reasons which informed\u00a0 our decision to drag them to court to stop\u00a0 them from unnecessary billing us&#8217;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; We are in court with AEDC\u00a0 for the court to prevail on them to stop them from\u00a0 this multiple Billings without enjoying the Service we are paying for<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; We are asking the court to prevail on them to stop the AEDC from the over billings Kutiriko<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Community. For the past seven months they keep bringing bill to us. We approached the court seeking redress and to also stop them from overbilling&#8221; he told Journalists.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Engr\u00a0 Adamu Ibrahim also explained that the AEDC deliberately refused to install the cable and other accessories that was needed for the installation of the transformer for the community\u00a0 &#8220;yet they are overbilling us without any reason&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">When the the case came up for hearing before Chief Magistrate Hajiya Ummul Khatum Mohammed the defense counsel Barrister Danjuma Mohammed told the court that\u00a0 the AEDC has approached the plaintiff for settlement out of court.\u00a0 she then adjourned the case to the 18th of March, 2025.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Uthman Baba-Al-Naseer,Minna Kitiriko\u00a0 Community in Chanchaga local government area of Niger State,has dragged the Abuja Electricity Company (AEDC) to\u00a0 a Minna Chief Magistrate court Number One for over Billings.
