A Seventy two years old man, Sabo Mohammed has boldly told the Minna Chief Magistrate court number Five that\u00a0 he stabbed the police Inspector, Nasiru Musa to death because he is enticing his wife.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Septuagenarian was arraigned before the Minna Chief Magistrate court,number five presided by Hajiya Hadiza Hamza Imam, told the court that he has been suspecting his wife of having an affairs with the deceased\u00a0 Inspector Nasiru a police Prosecutor attached to a Chief Magistrate court in Mashegu, and he decided to stabbed him Severally to death.<\/div>\n

He however told the Chief Magistrate that he regretted his actions Particularly in this glorious Month of Ramadan for him to end his life in this way.<\/div>\n

Men of the Homicide Squad of the state Criminal investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), of the Niger state police command Wednesday arraignedi. the Septuagenarian,on one Count charge of Culpable homicide punishable under section 221 of the penal code.<\/div>\n

According to the Police first Information Report ( FIR) marked MN\/CMC\/CR\/28\/ “Information received from a reliable source by officer in-charge of Manigi Police out post that on the same date at about 2000 hrs .<\/div>\n

” One AP\/ Nos 296133, Inspector Nasiru Musa. of Manigi village via Mashegu\u00a0 LGA,now deceased a Police Prosecutor, attached to Mashegu Chief Magistrate court was stabbed with sharp knife\u00a0 on his stomach by you\u00a0 Alhaji Sabo Mohammed of the same address on the suspicious of that is enticing your wife.<\/div>\n

” As of a result of the injury sustained,he was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida for medical attention where he was confirmed death by the Medical doctor” the police Prosecutor Inspector Emmanuel Ogiri told the court.<\/div>\n

When the charges were read to him by the Chief Magistrate Hajiya Hadiza Hamza Imam the Septuagenarian\u00a0 admitted killing the deceased without any delay.<\/div>\n

She however,told the defendant that her court can only hold pre-trial proceedings into the case\u00a0 as she cannot take his plea of guilty into his case.<\/div>\n

” This court has no Jurisdiction of try your case. Pleading guilty before me is not even enough. Your case file will be transmitted to the office of the\u00a0 Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) in the Ministry of Justice for legal advice.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
” After which you will be arraigned before court of Competent Jurisdiction where your plea of guilty will be taken. Like I said,I’m only holding a pre-trial into the case.” she told the Septuagenarian.<\/div>\n

Hajiya Hadiza Hamza Imam,then directed the police Prosecutor\u00a0 Inspector Emmanuel Ogiri,to transmit the case file to the Ministry of Justice for legal advice.<\/div>\n
