Despite her injuries, the mother was able to flee to a nearby residence, crying out for assistance.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cI was in my house when I heard the woman screaming and running towards my door,\u201d a neighbour said. \u201cWhen I opened the door, I saw her covered in blood and begging for help.\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The incident occurred early Wednesday morning as residents of the community were just waking up, according to a resident, Chigozie Mama, who spoke to SaharaReporters.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The situation escalated until a neighbour intervened, prompting a swift response from the Aji Neighbourhood Watch group.
