{"id":3547,"date":"2025-04-21T08:30:01","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T08:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=3547"},"modified":"2025-04-21T08:30:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T08:30:01","slug":"support-tinubu-despite-my-suspension-gov-fubara-urges-rivers-people-preaches-reconciliation-peace-unity-at-easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/04\/21\/support-tinubu-despite-my-suspension-gov-fubara-urges-rivers-people-preaches-reconciliation-peace-unity-at-easter\/","title":{"rendered":"Support Tinubu despite my suspension- Gov Fubara Urges Rivers People  \u2022Preaches Reconciliation, Peace, Unity at Easter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By Our Reporter<\/p>\n<p>Despite his suspension from office by the Federal government, the embattled Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appealed to Rivers people not to withdraw their support for President Bola Tinubu, and align with his Renewed Hope Agenda in search of a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Fubara made the appeal in the Easter message dated Sunday, 20th April, 2025, which despite being suspended by President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>Fubara was suspended on March 18, 2025 alongside his deputy Prof Ngozi Odu, as well as members of the state house of assembly over some security breaches that occurred in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the governor was directed to vacate his office along side with his deputy and members of River state Assembly by President Bola Tinubu, who later appointed retired Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas as the Sole administrator to govern the state for an initial six months.<\/p>\n<p>The suspended Rivers Governor who reaffirmed his commitment to engendering peace, unity and good governance across the state, also<\/p>\n<p>his unwavering recommits to delivering good governance to the resilient and dignified people of the State.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that the Easter celebration is that of reconciliation and unity, as well as comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement governor Fubara personally signed on Easter day celebration said, &#8220;as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, this Easter, I bring you warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEaster is a sacred season of reconciliation and unity. It is a time when the peace of Christ dwells richly in our hearts, restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a time to reaffirm our shared belief that peace shall overcome war, and that even shattered dreams can find new life in the light of the resurrection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis season renews our confidence that nothing, neither hardship, nor adversity, nor even death, can separate us from the love of God in Christ.
