There was a twist to the abducton of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairman in Ose Local Government Area, Mr Nelson Adepoyigi, as the Gunmen have reportedly seized two individuals who brought N5m and food items to them as ransom to secure his release<\/p>\n
The kidnappers had earlier reviewed their initial demand from N100 m to N5m\u00a0 with assorted food supplies.<\/p>\n
Daily Echoes Media gathered that the kidnappers have now made a fresh demand of N30 m to secure the release of the three captives which included; the APC chairman. Adepoyigi and two ransom bearers<\/p>\n
Already, sources said the latest incident has thrown the family and political associates of the abducted party chieftain into fresh apprehension.<\/p>\n
A family source said\u201c In a bizarre manner, those who took the ransom to them, as agreed during negotiations, have been seized by the same kidnappers right now.<\/p>\n
\u201d They have now turned around to demand a fresh N30 m before they can release all three of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chairman of Ose Local Government Area, Hon. Kolapo Oja, confirmed the earlier negotiation in an earlier interview, saying the ransom had been reduced to N5 million and food items.<\/p>\n
However, he expressed concern over the turn of events and appealed for calm while security efforts are intensified.<\/p>\n
Adepoyigi was kidnapped on Monday night around 10 p.m. while attempting to park his car at his residence in Ifon.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was reportedly beaten and dragged away by his abductors.<\/p>\n
Already, tension is growing among family members, political leaders, and the local government authorities as they continue to appeal for his safe return and the release of the two additional captives.<\/p>\n
