A Non-governmental Organization NGO Uplifting Youths Through Agriculture UYOTA has unveied plans to host a 6-day Africa Youth Agri-Business Summit (AYA) 2025 – a transformative gathering intended at positioning Africa’s youths at the forefront of agricultural revolution.<\/p>\n
At a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday the Convener of the event and Co-Founder of UYOTA Prince Nnamdi Adigwe said that the organization in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development is organizing the summit to refocuse the minds of African youths towards agriculture through improved agricultural practices.<\/p>\n
The organization he said is a dynamic youth-focused organization established in 2016 as an affiliate of Uplifting Women Through Farming (UWTF), founded in September 2000 as a viable and attractive career path for young Africans while bridging the gap between traditional farming practices and modern agribusiness opportunities.<\/p>\n
The Africa Youth Agri-Business Summit 2025 he further hinted seeks to ignite youth interest in the agricultural value chain and empower them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to see agriculture as a viable, profitable, and sustainable business.The high profile brainstorming parley is slated to hold from November 16- 21 2025 at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Center Abuja and is designed to achieve several national objectives<\/p>\n
It is aimed at fostering strategic collaboration and building bridges between agribusiness stakeholders across Nigeria, Africa, and the global world thereby crreating lasting partnerships that transcend geographical boundaries.<\/p>\n
It is also intended to stablish networks for sustained cooperation and resource sharing in improved agricultural production and farming practicesOther objectives include to showcase innovation and technology by spotlighting cutting-edge innovations which ‘ll be transforming agricultural productivity.<\/p>\n
At the summit, the keynote speakers would centre on using technological solutions in addressing Africa’s unique agricultural challenges and how to connect technological innovators with agricultural practitioners and investors.They are also to spotlight on how to promote sustainable agribusiness practices by advancing climate-smart farming techniques adapted to African conditions.<\/p>\n
Other areas of interest are how to improve market access for smallholder farmers and agribusiness enterprises as well as how to create opportunities for enhanced intra-African trade and economic integrationThe organizers of the event are also using it to explore how to empower African youth entrepreneurs and how to expand access to finance and investment as well as how to tackle climate change challenges in agriculture.<\/p>\n
