{"id":5431,"date":"2025-07-11T12:37:46","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T12:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=5431"},"modified":"2025-07-11T12:40:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T12:40:44","slug":"insecurity-regional-ministry-moves-to-strengthen-collaboration-with-military","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/07\/11\/insecurity-regional-ministry-moves-to-strengthen-collaboration-with-military\/","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: Regional Ministry moves to strengthen collaboration with Military\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">By George Mgbeleke<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Minister of State for Regional Development , Uba Maigari Ahmadu\u00a0 has expressed the resolve of his Ministry to collaborate with the military to restore peace in parts of the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Ahmadu announced this when he received the Chief of Defense Staff General Christopher Musa in his office today\u00a0 8th July 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a statement by the Head of Media,Lawan Ahmed Danbazau the courtesy visit was aimed at strengthening relationship between the Defence Headquarters and Ministry of Regional Development\u00a0 to promote national security.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking at the event, Minister of State said the Ministry was willing to enter into collaboration with\u00a0 the Chief of\u00a0 Defence\u00a0 Staff\u00a0 in fighting insecurity and ensuring that peace returned to all troubled spots in the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He expressed delight for the visit and emphasized the importance of leveraging the Military\u2019s expertise and resources to support Regional Development initiatives, particularly in areas affected by insurgency, conflicts and general insecurity.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The\u00a0 Minister of State called for urgent attention to areas faced with insecurity to help\u00a0 restore life to the regions.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Furthermore,\u00a0 the Minister of State commended the Chief Defence Staff\u00a0 for his efforts and support in providing enabling environment for children of displaced persons by absorbing them into Command secondary schools and his efforts in curbing violence in Northwest and lake Chad region, as well as training of special forces.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0&#8220;Together we shall succeed in keeping this nation one and peaceful to live in with the backing of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu&#8221; , he said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Earlier, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Musa had briefed the Minister of State Regional Development on the purpose of his visit which he said was to seek areas of collaboration with the Ministry, citing areas such: as infrastructural development, security and humanitarian assistance.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By George Mgbeleke Minister of State for Regional Development , Uba Maigari Ahmadu\u00a0 has expressed the resolve of his Ministry to collaborate with the military to restore peace in parts of the country. \u00a0Ahmadu announced this when he received the Chief of Defense Staff General Christopher Musa in his office today\u00a0 8th July 2025.
