\nThe House of Representatives Committee on Federal Character has summoned the Chairman Federal Civil Service Commission FCSC to appear before it unfailingly on Wednesday July 30, 2025 over lopsided appointment of federal civil servants by the commission<\/p>\n
Chairman of the House Committee Hon.Idris Wase issued the directive on Wednesday during an investigative hearing on Federal Character recruitments in al Ministries, Departments and Agencies MDAs of the federal government at the National Assembly in Abuja<\/p>\n
This was as a result of repeated failure of the FSCC chairman to honour the House Committee invitations at the previous investigative hearings<\/p>\n
The lawmaker at the probe panel expressed displeasure that despite several letters of invitation written to the office holder on the matter, he has refused to honour the panel.<\/p>\n
He said that the House Committee is not happy that the FCSC boss had repeatedly ignored the panel’s invitations adding that to that he should appear unfailingly on Wednesday July 30,2025.<\/p>\n
The former House Deputy Speaker warned that the failure to honour the last invitation by the commission would be meted with grave consequences<\/p>\n
Section 14 (3) and 14 (4) of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended) provides for the federal charcoal principles in the recruitment of staff of federal government and its agencies.<\/p>\n
It would be recalled that the House Committee had been investigating other commissions and some other government agencies over the issue of lopsided recruitment of staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
