A new helmsman of the party,Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has taken over the seat of the National Chairman of APC.<\/p>\n
Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatdathe is the 7th National Chairman and was elected as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the 14th meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party and he was sworn in immediately at the State House.<\/p>\n
Yilwatda, who is the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development hails from Plateau State and takes over from the Acting National Chairman, Bukar Dalori, the Deputy National Chairman, who acted for almost two months after the sudden resignation of erstwhile National Chairman.Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
\nThe All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja was in an excited mood on Thursday as workers and visitors alike awaited the arrival of the new National Chairman.
\nProfessor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda was born on 8 August 1968. He is a Nigerian politician from Plateau State, an engineer, and academic who served as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction after he was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in October 2024.
\nNentawe was the flagrunner for the APC in the 2023 gubernatorial elections in Plateau state. Between July 2017 \u2013 December 2021, he held the position of Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue state.
