The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Military Administrator of Plateau State and one-time Deputy Minority Whip of the Senate, Senator Mohammed Mana.<\/p>\n
Senator Mark in a statement by his media adviser, Paul Mumeh described the late Mana as \u201ca fine officer and gentleman who served the nation with dignity and honour.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, Mark said:<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the military, Mana was a soldier who protected the territorial integrity of Nigeria and was in the forefront of promoting the transition to democratic authorities. <\/p>\n
“Mana and I served in the Nigerian Army with distinction. We left without blemish. By sheer coincidence, both of us later met in the 6th Senate (between 2007 and 2011).\u201d<\/p>\n
He further noted that Senator Mana was a patriotic Nigerian, a team player, and a jovial personality who held firmly to the values of justice, equity, and fairness without compromising his integrity.<\/p>\n
Senator Mark urged Mana\u2019s immediate family, the government, and the people of Adamawa State to take solace in the fact that he lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.<\/p>\n
\u201cMana was patriotic and a jolly good fellow. He believed in justice, equity, and fairness to all,\u201d Mark added.<\/p>\n
