{"id":6736,"date":"2025-08-27T17:39:18","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T17:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=6736"},"modified":"2025-08-27T17:39:18","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T17:39:18","slug":"nahcon-partners-alternative-bank-on-digital-platform-for-hajj-savings-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/08\/27\/nahcon-partners-alternative-bank-on-digital-platform-for-hajj-savings-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"NAHCON partners Alternative Bank on digital platform for Hajj Savings Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Abdul-Ganiyy Akanbi<\/p>\n<p>National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON is set to roll out a new digital web site version that will allow intending pilgrims to open and manage their Hajj Savings Scheme, HSS accounts directly from their smartphones, tablets and computers.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued on Wednesday by Kabir Aminu Muhammad from NAHCON, the move is aimed at simplifying access to the scheme and expanding its reach across the country.<\/p>\n<p>This resolution was reached on Tuesday at a meeting by officials of the HSS and a delegation from the Alternative Bank where they discussed development of the platform.<\/p>\n<p>The session, which took place in the NAHCON&#8217;s conference hall, was led by Head of the HSS, Barrister Abdulmumin Aliyu and Rabiat Akinwale, an Information Technology, IT expert representing the Alternative Bank, alongside senior staff of both organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Both parties agreed to fast track the project, ensuring that the application becomes operational as soon as possible, enabling pilgrims to save more conveniently for Hajj.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks, Aliyu described the initiative as a major step forward in modernizing the Hajj planning process, making it easier for prospective pilgrims to save toward their spiritual journey.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The web site will give intending pilgrims full control over their savings accounts whether on their smartphones or other devices and also integrate services at the Alternative Bank\u2019s branches nationwide,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The HSS leader added that the platform would provide real time information, eliminate paperwork and reduce delays in account management once the applicant created his\/her profile with BVN, NIN, phone number and email address.<\/p>\n<p>In her remarks, Alternative Bank&#8217;s Akinwale assured NAHCON of the bank\u2019s commitment to developing a secure and user friendly web site.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is to ensure that pilgrims can open and monitor their HSS accounts anytime, anywhere, while maintaining the highest security and transparency standards,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Abdul-Ganiyy Akanbi National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON is set to roll out a new digital web site version that will allow intending pilgrims to open and manage their Hajj Savings Scheme, HSS accounts directly from their smartphones, tablets and computers.
