Bashir Bayo Ojulari, has vowed to to backdown on his efforts to reposition the company to serve Nigerians better.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s Group Chief Executive Officer\u00a0 revealed that the company is facing attacks from individuals who do not have Nigeria&#8217;s best interests at heart and are opposed to the ongoing transformation efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Ojulari made this declaration at\u00a0 a meeting with a delegation from the Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement by the Company, Ojulari stated that the company is under attack from people who do not mean well for Nigeria and are against the ongoing transformation efforts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are under attack. We will not budge to short-term pressure, as it will not be in the best interest of Nigerians. You cannot drive change without a price, and the transformation is tough,\u201d Ojulari explained.<\/p>\n<p>Despite these attacks, Ojulari emphasized that the NNPC Management will not succumb to short-term pressure and will work for the larger interest of Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>The GCEO stressed that patience will be required from the Nigerian people to get to the other side of change, which will benefit Nigeria and her Citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Ojulari revealed that his Management Team has prioritized reviving the nation&#8217;s refineries to put them back into a more sustainable and profitable venture.<\/p>\n<p>The company is considering the Incorporated Joint Venture (IJV) model to ensure the refineries work sustainably going forward.<\/p>\n<p>Ojulari assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not pressure him to do the wrong thing, and the company is focused on doing what is right for Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated his commitment to stay focused in driving the mandate given to the team by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.<\/p>\n<p>While thanking the leadership of the Union for its support, Ojulari assured them to stay calm and build resilience to stay focused during these trials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am overwhelmed with the support from the union executives present here. The enemies of this company and Nigerians will not win,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He said since coming on board about five months ago, his Management Team prioritised reviving the nation&#8217;s refineries in order to put them back into more sustainable and profitable venture by considering the Incorporated Joint Venture (IJV) model.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mr. President doesn\u2019t pressure me to do the wrong thing. That is why we are looking at the baseline to ensure whatever we are doing, the refineries work sustainably going forward. We don\u2019t want to pretend and just do some quick fix because there is pressure on us,\u201d Ojulari added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the President of PENGASSAN, Comrade Festus Osifo, thanked the NNPC Management for its partnership during the recently held 2025 PENGASSAN Energy &amp; Labour Summit (PEALS) in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>Osifo assured Ojulari of PENGASSAN&#8217;s solidarity and commitment to working with the NNPC Management to ensure the stability of the system for the benefit of all Nigerians.<\/p>\n<p>The Union also acknowledged the \u201cremarkable milestones\u201d recorded so far under the GCEO\u2019s watch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur pipelines are now working.
