Apparently satisfied with the level of development in Osun state under the administration of Peoples Democratic Party led government,Traders, artisans, and unskilled workers in the State have thrown their weight behind Governor Ademola Adeleke for another term in office, affirming that his performance has surpassed the expectations of the people.<\/p>\n
The traders\u2019 unions, artisans, and other residents, under the aegis of The People First Movement (PFM), converged at the Freedom Park in Osogbo, trooped out massively to commend the governor for his transformative projects across Osun.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of PFM, Ayoade Luqman, stressed that the endorsement became a necessity in order to appreciate the Governor and ensure more development in the state.<\/p>\n
In his words, \u201cthe essence of today’s programme is to appreciate the governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke for the wonderful job he has done in Osun state. In the last three years, he has done well especially in the infrastructural development. We score him 100% because he has excelled beyond people’s expectations. In the beginning, people thought he could never perform but he proved them wrong. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe has executed projects including flyovers, dualisation of roads, and others despite paucity of funds, he has made people believe that he can achieve a lot. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe has done well in other sectors too which is why we came here to endorse him for the second term, it is not good to change a winning team, we want him to continue his job.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reacting, Governor Adeleke, assured that he’ll not betray the people\u2019s trust and will continue to deliver dividends of democracy. <\/p>\n
According to him, I will not betray your trust. You will always find in me Imole of good governance and democratic dividends.<\/p>\n
\u201cPermit me to use this occasion to urge all eligible voters to register and collect their voter cards. Your card is your certificate of authority to vote and be voted for.<\/p>\n
