{"id":7193,"date":"2025-09-16T06:06:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T06:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=7193"},"modified":"2025-09-16T06:06:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T06:06:40","slug":"inec-records-over-4-4million-voters-online-pre-registration-nationwide-in-4weeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/09\/16\/inec-records-over-4-4million-voters-online-pre-registration-nationwide-in-4weeks\/","title":{"rendered":"INEC Records over 4.4million voters\u00a0 Online\u00a0 Pre-Registration nationwide in 4weeks\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By Our Correspondent<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recorded a total of 4,445,505 million Nigerians in four week in the ongoing pre-online voter registration across the nation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Recall that as of Sunday 14th September 2025, a total of 4,445,505 Nigerians have now pre-registered online in four weeks since the commencement of the exercise on 18th August 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Making this declaration in a statement signed by National Commissioner and Chairman, Information &amp; Voter Education Committee,Sam Olumekun, explained that the figure recorded at the end of four weeks in Online Pre-registration shows that 2,141,294 (48.17%) are male and 2,304,211 (51.83%) are female. In terms of age and occupation, the majority 2,924,643 (65.79%) are between the ages of 18 and 34 while 1,112,344 (25.02%) are students.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Meanwhile,further breakdown of this record shows that as at<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0Friday, 12th September 2025, the combined figures of the completed online pre-registration and the physical (in-person) registration is 509,929 out of which 229,758 (45.06%) are male and 280,171 (54.94%) are female. In terms of age and occupation, 378,132 (74.15%) are young people between the ages of 18 and 34 while 196,529 (38.54%) are students.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Shading more light on the\u00a0 detailed distribution of both online and completed registrations by state, gender, age, occupation and disability, Olumekun said the Commission more figures have been uploaded to its website and other official platforms for public information.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">On Ward level Registration in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">as earlier announced by the Commission, the online voter pre-registration in the FCT ended on Monday 15th September 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The statement noted,&#8221;For the next two weeks, the physical (in-person) option will be at the designated venues.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8220;Thereafter, the Commission will devolve the registration to all the 62 Wards in the FCT from 29th September to 8th October 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&#8221; Detailed addresses of the centres have already been uploaded to our official platforms. &#8220;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Our Correspondent The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recorded a total of 4,445,505 million Nigerians in four week in the ongoing pre-online voter registration across the nation.
