{"id":7285,"date":"2025-09-18T16:16:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T16:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=7285"},"modified":"2025-09-18T16:16:46","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T16:16:46","slug":"fg-shares-highest-allocation-ever-to-self-stateslgas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/09\/18\/fg-shares-highest-allocation-ever-to-self-stateslgas\/","title":{"rendered":"FG shares highest allocation ever to self, states,LGAs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Federal government has declaration a historic revenue for the month of August, 2025.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The figure showed that the federal, state and local governments shared the highest revenue of N2.2 trillion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">This is highest when compared to the N2.001 trillion shared last month.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The revenue was announced through a communique signed by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The N2,225.118 trillion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N1,478.593 billion, distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N672.903 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue of N32.338 billion, and the Exchange Difference of N41.284 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">This indicated that total gross revenue of N3,635.802 trillion was available in August 2025. Total deduction for cost of collection was N124.839 billion, while total transfers, interventions, refunds and savings were N1,285.845 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Gross revenue of N722.619 billion was available from the Value Added Tax (VAT) in August 2025 as against N687.940 billion distributed in the preceding month, resulting in an increase of N34.679 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The communiqu\u00e9 stated that from the N1,478.593 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received a total sum of N684.462 billion and the State Governments received a total sum of N347.168 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The local government council received N267.652 billion, while the sum of N179.311 billion (13 percent of mineral revenue) was shared with the benefiting state as derivation revenue.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">From the N672.903 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, the Federal Government received N100.935 billion, the State Governments received N336.452 billion and the Local Government Councils received N235.516 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A total sum of N4.851 billion was received by the Federal Government from the N32.338 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL). The state governments received N16.169 billion, and the local government councils received N11.318 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">From the N41.284 billion from the exchange difference, the communiqu\u00e9 stated that the federal government received N19.799 billion and the state governments received N10.042 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Local Government Councils received N7.742 billion, while the sum of N3.701 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was shared with the benefiting states as derivation revenue.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In August 2025, the gross statutory revenue of N2,838.214 trillion was received, which is lower than the sum of N3,070.127 trillion received in the previous month by N231.913 billion.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Oil &amp; Gas Royalty, Value Added Tax (VAT) and CET levies increased significantly, while Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Import Duty, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), Companies Income Tax (CIT) and Excise Duty recorded decreases.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">There have been concerns in Nigeria that despite the increase in revenue being shared by the three tiers of government, the masses are groaning over hardship.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While removal of fuel subsidy freed more money for the governments to share, it is yet to reflect on the life of the common Nigerians.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal government has declaration a historic revenue for the month of August, 2025.
