Prince Ebitimi Amgbare on Wednesday  received the<br \/>\nSpecific  Assistant to the President on Capacity Development,  Sadiq  Rabiu in his office at the Agency&#8217;s headquarters in Portharcourt .<br \/>\n9i<br \/>\nThe visit was to seek for partnership in  various areas of interest including ways to push for  success the Renewed Hope Agenda,  and in  areas of mobilising young adults  into modem agriculture and other skills .<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, Prince Amgbare who described Rabiu&#8217;s vision as aligning  with that of  the  ndbda which is  focused on the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  and the mobilization of young graduates into  modern day agriculture ,  vowed to work together  to achieve  a common goal for Mr. President .<\/p>\n<p>Prince Amgbare who urged   the Special Assistant on Capacity Development to the President   to show more  interest in Agriculture informed that   the agency has just flagged off training program for young  graduates  into agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>He says  the programme  aims at filling   the gap of moving away from the old ways of farming to  modernised methods.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Amgbare told Rabiu that the young graduates will also   be exposed to various ways of making money through  agriculture during the training .<\/p>\n<p>While lauding  President Tinubu  for  appointing a youth of  Rabiu&#8217;s  caliber , the  ndbda boss  noted that his &#8220;appointment alone  shows that if you are    focused you   will get there&#8221;&#8216; , and and urged youths to emulate Rabiu&#8217;s style.<br \/>\nHe assured   that his Partnerhip request has been given automatic  acceptance .<\/p>\n<p>His words :&#8221;We are happy to have you here . You can be rest assured that these partnership is  sealed already&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in his speech, Rabiu who was full of praises for Prince Amgbare&#8217;s efforts in  introducing  partnership  and collaborative concept to move the agency forward  stated that  his visit was to seek for partnership aimed at ensuring  success  for  Mr President&#8217;s Renewed Hope Agenda,  and to deliver Mr President to the best of his ability.<\/p>\n<p>He  disclosed that<br \/>\nhis office  has  secured a solid partnership agreement with the<br \/>\nthe United Nations( UN)<br \/>\non the mobilization of about 3500 youths into an agriculture business entrepreneurship  project and promised   to include  ndbda in the project .<\/p>\n<p>The Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development who  disclosed that  the UN has actually agreed to partner with  his office on the programme noted   that it   &#8220;will not just training them on how to farm and harvest but to even take the products to the next level and add value&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>His words: &#8220;The UN has actually agreed to partner with me .<br \/>\n&#8220;We are currently working on funding mechanism  to mobilise resources through  their own network of global agencies and  when they are able to write  I can even include your office and they will write you  from New York  to see how   we can  partner .So that you can represent the South South region .<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are willing to kick off before the end of next year&#8221; ,  disclosed  Rabiu  who says he was  travelling to New York  soon to meet with the officials . <\/p>\n<p>He also commended   &#8220;the  Hon.Minister  of Water Resources  for  working tirelessly to make sure all the Basins are being  developed. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We feel that even in that area, there is  need to build  more capacity to make sure everyone is delivered effectively and efficiently &#8221; he added .<\/p>\n<p>Describing himself as one of the youngest appointees of Mr President, Rabiu<br \/>\nsaid  his appointment by  &#8220;Mr. President has not<br \/>\nonly given  him a chance, but  he has given a whole generation a chance &#8221;<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;They  ( youths ) can see the hope. That alone have shift their mind set ..that they can also be on this position sooner or later..So why chose the part of violence &#8220;, he added .<\/p>\n<p>The  office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development has the following objectives : Empower youth with technical , vocational , digital,and  leadership  skills for employment and enterprise; Strengthen the capacity of public institutions to deliver transparent ,effective , and accountable services; Align training content with national development priorities and global best practices ; promote public- private &#8211; community partnerships to sustain local solutions and innovations ; ensure social inclusion by targeting disadvantaged groups .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By David Owei,Bayelsa The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer (MD\/CEO), Niger Delta Basin Development Authority ( NDBDA), Hon.
