{"id":7685,"date":"2025-10-06T15:32:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T15:32:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=7685"},"modified":"2025-10-06T21:45:33","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T21:45:33","slug":"minna-court-adjourns-suite-between-niger-state-govt-tagwai-community-to-oct-16thfor-an-out-of-court-settlement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2025\/10\/06\/minna-court-adjourns-suite-between-niger-state-govt-tagwai-community-to-oct-16thfor-an-out-of-court-settlement\/","title":{"rendered":"Minna Court adjourns\u00a0 suite between Niger State govt, Tagwai Community to\u00a0 Oct. 16th,for an out of court settlement\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By Uthman-Baba Naseer,Minna<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Minna High Court number four has adjougned the suite between Niger State government and Tagwai Community to 16th of October,for an out of court settlement over a farmland.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">At the Monday resumed hearing,\u00a0 befor Justice Mohammed Mohammed, Barrister Ibrahim Ndamitso applied to join twelve other members of family in the Suit which the counsel\u00a0 Barrister Solomon Ogbeche representing the other family objected to the application.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The court however over-ruled his objection and adjougnedobjection and adjougned the case to 16th,of October,2025 for an out of court settlement.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Community\u00a0 had\u00a0 through their counsel\u00a0 Barrister Solomon Ogbeche,dragged the Niger State government to court over a farmland belonging to Tagwai Community as Niger State government claimed ownership of the land displacing them from their ancestors\u00a0 land.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Joined in the suite\u00a0 NSHC\/215\/2025,include the Commissioner for land and housing,the Attorney General of Niger State and the governor of Niger and Niger Food limited<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Barrister Solomon Ogbeche the counsel to the Tagwai Community has approached the Minna High Court praying the court to restrain the Niger Food and the Niger State Ministry of land and housing from claiming ownership of the land.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Earlier Jacob Johnson Usman SAN a counsel representing the \u00d1iger State governor had aligned himself with Barrister Ibrahim Ndamitso to join the twelve other members of the family in the suit.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">At this point Barrister Solomon Ogbeche, argued that the interest of the plaintiff before the court is not compatible with the interest of the applicants sought to be joined as co-Plaintiff.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Arguing further he told the court that some of the applicants sought to be joined as co-Plaintiffs have already been represented as plaintiffs before the court &#8221; and I prayed the court to strike them as co-Plaintiffs in this suit&#8221;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While over ruling his argument, Justice Mohammed Mohammed then adjourned the case to 16th of October,2025, for settlement out of court.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Uthman-Baba Naseer,Minna The Minna High Court number four has adjougned the suite between Niger State government and Tagwai Community to 16th of October,for an out of court settlement over a farmland.
