At a stakeholders meeting held over the weekend a unanimous vote of confidence was passed on the Acting Chairman of Ughelli North Local government area, All progressive,Mr Samuel Evwighono,the party, equally lauded and applauded him for holding unified meeting barely two weeks in office, where they described him as a man with uncommon leadership character and integrity compared to the sacked chairman who was unable to hold meetings throughout his tenure.<\/p>\n
In moving the motion for the vote explicit confidence Dr Rufus Edoja, former member of Delta House of Assembly who represented Ughelli Constituency 11 and motion was seconded by Hon Spencer Ohwofa, who later asked those in favour say hi and those against say nay . And hi, have it.<\/p>\n
The unified stakeholders meeting which took place at the APC along the Express was attended by who is who in Ughelli North Local government area APC family and those outside considered as opposition to APC.<\/p>\n
In their separate interviews, the chairman of Ughelli North Local government area, Chief Jaro Egbo said as far he was concerned the APC North Local government area recgonised the Ewvighono led Executive remained the authentic and united APC that was poised to galvanize massive support for the re election of President Tinubu, Hon sherrif Oborevwori, all the national assembly and state assembly members, come 2025 general elections. ” There is only one APC in Ughelli North Local government area,any other is either ADC or PDP and we have resolved President Bola Tinubu,Governor Sheriff Oborevwori,our Delta central senator,House of Representative and two House of Assembly members.l advised others outside this fold to join us”<\/p>\n
According to him, this meeting was convened to not only to congratulate the brand new Ughelli North Local government area APC Acting Chairman, Mr Samuel Evwighono and his Executive, but to solicit the massive support of APC stakeholders to remain resolute and work assiduously for the party, s victories during the 2025 general elections.<\/p>\n
” The Federal government is here,all the APC National Assembly members, the minister representing Delta Central,the APC senator and House of Representative member and two House of Assembly members are here with us.
\nWhat else the zonal chairman of APC,state chairman of APC,chief Omeni Sobotie is here with us and we have it in good authority that there are plans to cause confusion,but we are not perturbed,because we are sure that the APC in Delta state is one and it remained united.we beckon on our brothers to join us to deliver the party in all elections come 2027.”<\/p>\n

The Acting Chairman of APC in Ughelli North Local government area,Mr Samuel Evwighono lauded the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local government area,Chief Jaro Egbo and Mrs Stella Okotete for their unwavering commitment towards the holding of this enlarged stakeholders meeting, which is unprecedented and nonpareil in history of the party in the Local government area.And of course,the response of the Stakeholders and attendance deserved commendation,that is an indication of the party,s unity and inclusiveness in the local government area. And as the acting chairman, we are prepared to work together assiduously to ensure that we deliver on our mandate of delivering Ughelli North Local government area for president Bola Tinubu,Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ,our national and state assembly members come 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
On the fate of other members of APC members outside this authentic and recognized group,he said efforts will be made to bring them back and together we shall work.”The boat has started sailing ,we will not leave anybody behind”
\nHe also disclosed that moving forward ,he will hold meeting with ward chairmen and other critical stakeholders at the ward level,all of which are geared towards having a strong and strategic base for the All progressive Congress ( APC ) to ensure it deliver the state during the next general elections,come 2025.<\/p>\n
Also speaking the member representing Ughelli North Constituency 11, Hon Spencer Ohwofa posited ‘that as far as he is concerned ,there is no opposition party in Delta state and Ughelli North Constituency 11 cannot be an exemption. There is no vacancy in presidency,no vacancy in Government house and no vacancy in Ughelli North Constituency 11.Come 2027 it’s going to be victory all the way. We don’t have opposition anywhere”<\/p>\n
According to Miss Christabel Obiovwevwi, an aide to Delta state governor , said we are gathered here today to celebrate victory of a united and indivisible party, devoid of opposition,anti- party and to sensitize all and sundry to ensure that victory is ours come 2027 general elections.We shall surprise the country with our 100% votes .There is no disunity among us and we remain one, united and prepared to deliver the party and sustain Development in Ughelli North Local government area of Delta state.<\/p>\n
“There is no problem in APC in Ughelli North Local government area,hence you noticed the presence of National Assembly,and state assembly members,Federal appointttess,ministers and board members,meetings of this magnitude are strategically held to galvanize support and deliver President Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, our senator and national and state assembly members,come 2027.We are happy for the turn out and attendance”<\/p>\n
Our Correspondent reported that the APC secretariat in Ughelli was filled to the brim with party elders, youths, women , men and other prominent stakeholders such as Prof S. O.
