As Anambra governorship election draws close, there are strong indications that some members of the Obedient Movement in Anambra State have declared support for the incumbent Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim for a second term in office.<\/p>\n
They described the decision as one made in good conscience and in line with the ideals of integrity, performance, and credibility that define the Obidient ideology.<\/p>\n
Declaring their support for Soludu who is running for re-election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the Obidient group led by Mr. Ikenna Azomchine, said the endorsement was made after careful assessment of all the governorship candidates, saying that Governor Soludo stood out as the most credible, competent, and visionary leader capable of consolidating the progress made so far in the state.<\/p>\n
He explained that the Obidient Movement\u2019s support for Governor Soludo is rooted in the same principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability that birthed the movement prior to the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n
He said, “We have gathered here to officially endorse His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, for re-election on November 8, 2025. We are doing this as true Obidients, guided by integrity, performance, and credibility.<\/p>\n
“The decision was not influenced by money or political inducement. Neither me or any member of this team had received any financial support from the Governor or the government.<\/p>\n
The event drew a large number of Obidient Movement, supporters, and stakeholders from different parts of the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
