{"id":9894,"date":"2026-01-03T04:56:20","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T04:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/?p=9894"},"modified":"2026-01-03T04:56:20","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T04:56:20","slug":"gov-fubara-vows-to-recover-lost-grounds-swears-in-new-aides","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyechoes.ng\/index.php\/2026\/01\/03\/gov-fubara-vows-to-recover-lost-grounds-swears-in-new-aides\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov Fubara Vows To Recover Lost Grounds, Swears In New Aides"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Our Correspondent <\/p>\n<p>Determined to restore the peoples confidence in his administration Governor of Rivers state,Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration&#8217;s commitment to move forward decisively and recover lost grounds. <\/p>\n<p>The governor made this declaration while swearing-in five newly appointed Special Advisers at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that his government has the resilience required to deliver on its mandate.<br \/>\nHe said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring smooth administration.<br \/>\nHe explained that the appointees&#8217; prior experience in government would enable them to hit the ground running, eliminating delays in performance monitoring and ensuring prompt achievement of set goals.<br \/>\n\u201cSo what we\u2019re doing this afternoon is bringing in some persons on board to ensure that the wheels of governance continue to roll smoothly in our state.<br \/>\n\u201cI believe that these appointees are not new faces. They\u2019ve been with us, they\u2019ve worked with us. They understand the philosophy of this administration and it will not be a problem following and ensuring that our goals are achieved,\u201d he stated.<br \/>\nGovernor Fubara charged the Special Advisers to approach their responsibilities with a strong sense of duty, warning that the appointments should not be seen as a pleasure but a call to dedicated service.<br \/>\nHe expressed confidence that they would replicate their previous performance in their new roles and urged them not to disappoint the government and the people of Rivers State.<br \/>\nGovernor Fubara stressed that effective governance could only be achieved through collective effort, discipline and shared responsibility, warning the appointees against complacency.<br \/>\nHe noted that the appointments were not ceremonial but an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to governance and service delivery for the benefit of Rivers people.<br \/>\n\u201cSo my charge is not much because you already know what we have come to do. It is not pleasure, it is work. It\u2019s a rare opportunity. Don\u2019t let us down. We will start to work for Rivers people. Our social agreement with Rivers people is to work.
