The South – South Community in Bayelsa state has inducted seven members into the South – South council of chiefs to help galvanize and mobilize the south south community in the for the socio political benefits of its members.<\/p>\n
The Induction ceremony that took place at the palace of the traditional ruler of Isoko residents in Bayelsa state, Chief Nathaniel Ugolo was performed by HRH Chief Ubaka Emma JP, Eze – Ochikota l of Egbema,the secretary of South – South council of chiefs.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was attended by the Executive of South South Community in Bayelsa state,political appointtees and representatives of Delta , Rivers state, Akwa lbom, Edo state community and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n
In his opening remarks, HRH Ubaka Emma, has reiterated the importance and premium placed on the South – South Council of chiefs as a veritable component in the administration and unity of the South South community residents in Bayelsa state and with the crisis that rocked the South South Community Executive that led to the suspension of the former President General Engr Ernest Inyang , and it becomes imperative to regig the body because nature abhours vacuum. Hence, he charged the newly indicted chiefs to complement the process of peace building, oneness and unity among the South- South residents in Bayelsa and they are to work in collaboration with political appointees for over all running of the highest socio political organization recognized by the Bayelsa state government .”All of you been inducted were qualified in line with criteria and l congratulate you people into the South – South Council of chiefs” <\/p>\n
Assuring that in no distance time internal crisis in some states will be solved, as the former PG of South – South remained suspended, hence he was not invited to the induction ceremony whereas other executives were duly invited to witness the induction ceremony.<\/p>\n
The seven inductees,according to him met the set criteria and were endorsed by their community leaders,as being worthy of their pedigrees of taking the oath of allegiance to be leaders with impeccable character with proven track records of leadership in their past positions in their various communities where they have served meritoriously in different capacities.<\/p>\n
The seven inductees are,
\nChief Charles Oruru, the immediate past president of Urhobo Progress Union,Bayelsa state chapter, chief Lucky Agbogun,a respected community leader and chieftain of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, from Olomu Kingdom, Chief Evans Bardom,Chief William Parkar, chief Nwosu Godsent, Chief Aigbkhaebholo Anthony and chief Reverend Osagie.<\/p>\n
Speaking to newsmen,one of the newly inductees ,Chief Charles Oruru pledged their unwavering commitment and promise not to disappoint the confidence reposed on them,but they will contribute their quota towards the growth and progress of the South – South Community residents in Bayelsa state.<\/p>\n
